ABOUT MAXIMUM SOIL & WATER PRODUCTIVITY Pty Ltd

The company was founded by Greg Hamilton. He has career-long experience in directing, managing and undertaking field-scale
research and extension into soil management practices that sustainably improve the productivity of soils and water. He has worked in the central west slopes and plains of New South Wales, the wheat belt of Western Australia, the irrigation areas throughout Pakistan and on the Darling Downs in Queensland.

WHY CHOOSE US

Expertise

We possess the knowledge and experience of what is required to create and maintain soil conditions that maximise productivity and profitability.

We are the inventors of the patented Seedbed Conditionerand Bedformer Conditionermachines and know how to use them to best advantage.

Our skills-set, knowledge and 100 % success with the field-scale application of our technology ensures land managers achieve maximum productivity and profitability from their soil and water resources with truly sustainable farming practices, at no extra cost.

Internationally Recognised Achievements

  • Used field-measured soil properties to verify the theory of (i) capillary rise from shallow water tables, to aid saline soil reclamation; and (ii) the theory of rainfall infiltration, to predict runoff from storm rains and to design runoff control
  • Introduced permanent raised beds (PRB) to prevent winter waterlogging of cereal crops in Western Australia and drove the adoption of PRBs in the WA wheatbelt to ~ 400,000 ha.
  • Demonstrated to Pakistan farmers that PRBs substantially increase irrigation efficiency and Adoption is currently ~ 500,000 ha, and expanding.
  • Designed the energy-efficient Seedbed Conditioner™ (SC) and Bedformer Conditoner™(BC)
  • Showed that, with BC™ soil management PRBs, can be as wide as 3 m and permanently prevent waterlogging at no extra
  • Demonstrated that SC™/BC™ machines can sustainably increase soil carbon, crop productivity, irrigation efficiency and drought and waterlog resilience on ALL soil types.

Other Achievements

  • Managed the Remnant Vegetation Protection Scheme in Western.
  • Director of Greening Western Australia for five years.
  • Lead Organiser of 5th Australian Soil Conservation Conference (1990) and the 2005 Australian Controlled Traffic Conference.
