Increase Soil Organic Carbon Easily

Roots are the largest contributor to soil carbon, and root-derived organic matter is 2.5 times more stable than other forms.

Soil carbon is increased by stimulating greater root growth and leaving roots undisturbed. Only Deep Seedbed Conditioners (DSC) or Deep Bedformer Conditioners (DBC) can achieve these goals, and these machines do NOT require any extra operations.

Crops sequester at least 40 % more carbon dioxide than pastures. Pasture soils have more soil organic carbon than cropping soils ONLY because their roots are left undisturbed. Crop roots and soil biology are destroyed by cultivation, even no-tillage practice.

DBC/DSC produced a 50% increase in organic soil carbon over 6 years of cropping, worth $2.3 M per 1,000 ha (@ CCU price of $22).

DSC/DBC is an approved practice for the Commonwealth government’s “Carbon Farming Initiative”.

DBC™ increased soil organic carbon by 48 %, or 28.4 t / 0.3m / ha. Data from 6 crops on a 100 ha field and 730 soil analyses.

Dryland wheat crop: No-till left; DSC™ right, which yielded 25% more

Greater crop growth on DSC crop (RHS) than No-till crop (LHS).
